Similar labels, different calculations
Cashback commonly refers to a return calculated from eligible net losses over a stated period. Rakeback commonly refers to a return linked to eligible wagering or a programme’s calculation of generated fees or house edge. Operators may define either term differently.

- caps, tiers and minimum activity;
- whether the return is cash or bonus credit;
- wagering, expiry and claim requirements.
A return on losses does not make gambling profitable and should not be used as a reason to increase spending. Calculate risk from the full amount wagered, not from the advertised percentage. 18+ only.
